Just When I Was Getting Started...

I guess this was bound to happen sooner or later from being so active in multiple sports. I was playing softball with my school's coed team, and dove into second base trying to beat out the tag. Well next thing I know my hand is numb and feels hot. Thinking to myself that's not right and walk about to my dugout. I get my batting glove off my hand and sure enough my pinky is sideways.

Yep it was dislocated, but lucky for me that my entire team is made up of PT classmates. It was put back into alignment as best as possible and the icing began. Two days later, my finger is super swollen, bruised, painful and cant move my finger at all. Time to go see a doctor for xrays. It revealed a displaced oblique fracture to the head of the proximal phalanx. Now dont say that you have no idea what that is, its called power of google people. To end this sad story, I'm meeting with a surgeon in two days to find out what they can do with my pathetic pinky finger. Hopefully its a fast recovery time frame.

Miss Mary !!!

Hey everyone,

My journey this year has consisted of judging a few slide jams, garage races, trips to Austin and now going to Maryhill! I have signed up for the G-Ride in June and excited to go! It will be my first skate trip outside of Texas. Finding a flight to get out there is my next obstacle to over come. I'll get to skate and meet a bunch of amazing lady skaters and man skaters too. I have my Biggie Hawgs I got from Katie Neilson about a month ago from an online contest, that I can't wait to skate.

Still trying to find a balance between school work and skating with HGR. My tests are over with now so it's time to skate and eat breakfast foods at 3am post sesh. :)

A few trips to Austin and DFW area are in the works within the next few months. Skate skate skate!
