ATX Day Trip

Visited Austin for two quick days with my friend Charles, and it turned out to be a really fun time. Started off with a few runs down one of my favorite runs called Dogs. Got some exercises, because we didn't have a tow the first day. Afterwards we met up with some friends and kicked it the rest of the night.

The next morning, bright and freaking early, we got up to start skating. Such nice beautiful weather the entire day so where we all (Charles, Don and I) got some sunburn... well mostly me. :/  The runs today felt so amazing, smoother than butter, tailwinds, and sunshine! Hanging out with good friends, changing setups, talking and having a good time. Today reminded me of why I skate, because it's fun and enjoy my friend's company. I loved everything about today!

Relaxing After A Run
I took up the art of photography this weekend, since my finger has pins in it plus I promised my surgeon and my mom that I wouldn't skate until it is healed. It sucks, but have to play by the rules this time. I was the tow and photog person today. I actually like taking pictures with fancy cameras! and I've convinced myself I don't need to take up another hobby.
Playing Photographer. Caught Don doing this sick slide!

After skating called for a refreshing dip in the cold green belt of Austin. Hiking through the woods and over creeks was adventurous. Finally got to the secret spot and started skipping rocks like 12 year olds. Who can skip one the most? Lost track of time and 2.5 hours went by. I could of stayed there all day long! I found a little froggie friend in the rock next to me. He was so cute!

Went home to relax after such an eventful day! I'm exhausted, sunburned and stoked about the skating that took place over the last two days! It's always a good time when visiting ATX. :) Until next time...

Finger Problems

My lame excuse for a pinky was fixed by having two pins put into the piece of bone I broke off. I was awake during the surgery, which was SUPER FREAKING COOL by the way! Lucky for me, I walked away with just a splint on my finger, no casts! YAY! Heres some pictures to go along with everything. Enjoy :)
